Dimension Unlimited 6000watt three phase
« on: July 28, 2005, 01:34:27 PM »
I have been using this company's 24vdc 220 three phase 6000 watt inverter in my maintanence truck. I got the truck new and so far have put 289 hours on the inverter. Pretty good unit. I emailed the company to see how much one would cost and the reply was $5375 plus about a hundred for shipping.

Now I realize that this unit has no charge controller or grid tie or... any of those other nice features that an Otherpower enthusist would want but... this unit would power a submerscible well pump.

Anyhow, the question is there anything out there thats comparable for that kind of money?

How about a pair of Outback VFX 3524 for $1800 each?

You can hook them together into a 7kw 220 three phase setup for less money.

That Outback looks real good. Is anyone using them that writes here on the Discussion board?

This model is more like what I am looking for in an inverter. I'd like to be able to pump water with a deep well pump.

After six months in Iraq using Army equipment, I am very skeptical about anything the Army has besides the old M35A2 2 and 1/2 ton trucks. I figured there had to be something better out there for a better price.

I'm currently using a Xantrex 4024 with 240VAC autotransformer to pump from a 550' deep well for about a year, now.  No hiccups yet.
