hopefully their newer inverters are better than those of the mid 90's
i had horrible luck with several of their pv550 model units, several failed
after only a few minutes driving a drop light, one failed with no load attached
and tripplite sent me repair parts to fix them all, but they continued to be junk.
those were square wave units of moderate cost (about 250 bucks) back then.
it left me with such a bad taste in my mouth for their products that i wouldn't walk
across the street for a new one today, even if it was free.
now i realize that much has changed, and they probably make a better inverter today, but
my attitude has not changed.
ymmv of course
