Making an alternator

Ok im looking to make an alternator, so ive decided to use this one http://www.otherpower.com/pmg2.html

nowhere can i find out how to properly wire it so i would like some feedback on how to do that!


any responses would be GREATLY appreciated..

There are several ways you can wire it up, depending on how many coils/mags you'll have.


One way is to wire all the coils in series, with 1 mag per coil.  It is the least efficient of the methods, but easiest to set up.


Another way, if you have an even number of coils, is to wire every other coil in a set in series, and run both sets in parallel.  


The most efficient way to do it is to build a 3 phase (or more) setup, but you have to have the proper coil to magnet relationship.
