I'm making a winder for my radial turbine project. It uses a few servo motors and a program I wrote in c++. The program allows the servos to perfectly lay the wire. The number of turns is the critical factor but each turn is perfectly placed and the thickness of the coil is reduced (allowing the rotors to get closer).  The computer automatically counts the turns (so you won't have to remember what turn you were on) and accounts for different wire gauges. As of right now I can wind one wire in hand and a wire gauge thickness up to 12awg. Anyone interested? because if people are then I'll offer it. I can do 2"x1" block and wedge geometries.
