Xantrex Prosine 2.0 Inverter - Good or Bad?
« on: January 21, 2011, 02:42:24 PM »
I am considering purchasing one of these units (used) for $350:  http://www.xantrex.com/power-products/inverter-chargers/prosine-2.aspx
The specs look good, 100-amp charger, transfer switch, remote battery-temp sensing, 2-KW sinewave inverter with 4.5-KW surge.  But it seems there are quite a few "bad" reviews on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Xantrex-Prosine-Inverter-Charger-Interface/product-reviews/B000FHQKGQ/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1

Since these reviews seem to be from RV and boat owners, possibly not RE enthusiasts, I am willing to allow that they may not be expert users and some of the problems could be "pilot error".

Does anyone here have personal experience with the Xantrex Prosine 2.0?

thanks

Never mind - further questioning of the seller told me that this is the Prosine 1000 he's offering.  I can get that new for $600, so I'm not tempted at all.
