Agm - ive not opened one but i believe they are the proper dry cell type with all the electrolyte absorbed into the glass matting (as opposed to cheap 'agm' car batteries that are wet flooded type with glass matt plate separators).
Because they have cylindrical cells they can tolerate a higher cell pressure than regular rectangular agm batteries, and so can tolerate a higher charge/equalization voltage without venting.
