I am building an alternator (hugh's design)and it is my first time to try to build a wind generator. I have been all over the place to learn as much as I can about different techniques, and one thing I have been looking into the most is magnets since this has so much to do with how much power I will be producing when I finish.
My question is during my search I ran into some magnets that are NdFeB grade n40. Hugh calls for grade 35. Would grade 40 work better or worse in the design?
