work in progress
« on: September 16, 2004, 11:06:16 PM »
So, after lots of dry runs, dead ends and aborts today was the day to make the first full size blade.

I first fixed a number of little issues with the table (on long runs it would jam at the far end, and there was some debris in the rack on the back of the table).

It went well enough for the first hour or so, and then disaster struck:

Unfortunately I was so engrossed in babysitting the router that I totally forgot that I was running on generator power, and when the generator quit (out of fuel) both inverters shut down (generator sync failure). I wouldn't be so pissed about it if it wasn't five minutes or so more to go on the back of blade number one before it would have been finished.

On the positive side, the hole that the router drilled in the blade when the table lost power is nicely round and I should be able to patch it up with a plug easily enough, assuming I can pick up where I left off somehow.

Better luck tomorrow...
