A Dual Stator Generator
« on: February 24, 2005, 06:27:21 AM »
  Good evening to all

Its been awhile since I had time to get this project finished. It puts out a total so far of approx. 2400 watts. 65 vdc and 35 amps. at top speed. I think I can squeek out a little more yet. If I move the tail vane back a bit. Attached are a few photos.

where? I've been wanting to build a dual stator or actually a stackable setup. I envisioned being able to keep adding stator magnet sets till you reach the desired output. The two outside magnet rotors would be metal backed and any intermediates would be set in epoxy. I'd love to see what you've done but, ummm, those pics?

The only limit I can think of would be weight. If you go out 5ft I doubt it would remain very sturdy or safe. Very interesting pictures Allen, I saw a few in your other thread, but not up and running.

Nicely done, Allen.  2400 watts from cast off magnets is great.  I think in your earlier post concerning the overdrive unit the cutin was around 50 rpm.  Any data you could provide would be great concerning the performance curve of this unit.  Thanks for sharing!

Nice work.

What is the air gap?  Looks like everything is touching.

Allen just a bit of curiosity, how in the world did you connect the mags to the disk's?

I have micro-mags coming out of the wazoo,( Yes-all the same size!) little $, lots of time and am off grid. really need to get something going with these, just need some help? Direction?

Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Jim
