I provided a sound system in Hendersonville about 2 years ago for a Band from India. It's about 700 miles from me here in North Alabama.

Isn't Gaffney near Greenville? I'll be in Pendelton on 4/29 to 5/1.

I'd love to have a get together for us "sotherners".

I'd hate to leave Wofferhound out but I can't think of any place central to Tn, S.C.,Al. and N.C.

 Herdersonville/ Ashville is probably a good place for most of us but not Woof.

any other thoughts??

Gaffney=65 miles from Hendersonville

Gaffney=50 miles from Greenville

Greenville=40 miles from Hendersonville

Knoxville=130 miles from Hendersonville

Knoxville=170 miles from Greenville

Knoxville=190 miles from Gaffney

I'm down for anything. What did yall have in mind exactly?

Right now I'm working on a spiral water pump to "water the horses". First I got to figure out how the H*ll water is getting around my mini-dam. :(

You could hire me to provide a Sound system. Then we could have a Big Ole Hoot-n-nanny.Of course the problem would be that I'd need $700.oo to provide a sound system 700 miles from here. But I would throw in the lighting for free, and I'll bring some beer too.

Problem is Woof, is I also have sound gear, being an installer, service tech and recently having closed my rental end, and I don't have to slep it 700 miles.

But seriously I would think that we don't really need anything like that.

As regards distance to Ashville/ Hindersonville. I an only about 70 miles from Ashville, 90 From Hendersonville. Newport Tn. near where I live is the last town in Tn on I-40 befor you enter N.C.

I would think that as close as we all are we could have a "movable feast" sort of event rotating the meeting between several location.

Might I suggest ( if Pyro is open to it) that we meet in Hendersonville some time soon ( I know that the first and third weekends of May are out for me), other than that every thing is pretty much open.

how about you all?

Hi Guys,

I am in Spartanburg.  I didn't realize that there were so many of you as close around me as there seems to be.  I would love to get together sometime.

Nohting RE going here yet.  Small lot, lots of trees, behind a hill from the prevailing wind direction, too many county **** trying to tell you what you can and can't do with your land that you pay them good rent(taxes) on every year.

For now, working on conservation.  Trying to teach the wife that she doesn't need every light in the house on all the time.  The TV set does have an off button and other things like that.  I do have CF lights throughout the house...made a world of difference in the power bill even with her leaving many of them on.

Had to take a job with a tremendous pay cut over what I had...not much of anything in the way of extra funds here but I would love to get together with you guys one day soon.

Steve

May I suggest Saturday May the 14th? if that is OK with every one, and we will need some sort of map, or directions ( Pyro) so that we can all get there at the same time. And you phone # just in case some one gets lost.

I would also suggest that we each bring one two of our projects to share with every one.

Also something to eat for a pot luck.

Dam, this is just to cool!!

14th is good for me.

Here's is my address map: http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?ed=XHyYoOp_0TpmKZ6CezWhaF0Xmn7IusLv7SCuWhjK9kdR&csz=Hendersonv
ille%2C+NC+28792&country=us&new=1&name=&qty=

You can use that to zoom out and find you way, or use the address and yahoo driving directions or something. Really easy to get to. Just email me for my phone #. pyrocasto at hotmail dot com.

I guess if everyone agrees to the/a date, we can figure out exactly what we're gonna do.(pot luck or whatnot) I just hope it turns out to be a nice sunny day then. :-)

Steve, you're welcome to come to if you can. If not, then we will do it again sometime. I'm gonna try to meet some people in town here too, and start a building type day like DanB's Mondays. Like a class almost. If it works out, I'll have to see what happens from there.

Sounds like an excelent idea, though I could probably only make once a month, what with work, family and such.

That's what I meant. Look how much camotion DanB's Mondays has stirred up. If I can find a few Hendersonville people that would  be interested, I might would be able to have something every week. That way, people outside of Hendo, could stop by whenever they get a chance. It's all an idea/dream, and it all depends on how many people in Hendo are interested.(unfortunantly my neighbors are oldies)

Well ,  I may me ONLY 700 miles away right now here in Bama. But on the 14th of May I'll be on the otherside of the world in Saint Petersburg Russia, in the middle of a 3 week stay. I'm hoping that I can find an Internet Cafe so I can still keep an eye on you guys.

Somebody has to . . .

You may consider making an open invite on the board and not here in a diary ?
