Electromotive site
« on: September 18, 2005, 03:48:01 AM »
Hey y'all

I'm looking for a site that has the same homebrew type fellers like 'round here.

Anyone have any suggestions on a blunt edge of electro-motive technology discussion board?

I've only had time to lurk lately but have learned a heck of a lot from you guys.

Thanks a bundle.

Are you talking about home-made motors?  If so take a look at the R/C airplane sites.  They're making their own 3phase motors to drive the props.

Hope this helps

W/ RC conversions the secret is in the controllers - reverse EMF sensing pushes lithium-ion batteries whole through teeny conversion motor windings. Many Neo killer designs (overheated = killed) but alot of neat endurance designs.

Interesting pole-stator combination chart..

I've rewound a few micro-generators but haven't found anything worth posting about.
