Margnet storage?
« on: October 24, 2005, 12:38:46 PM »
I have a question for the more informed out there.

MAGNETS- What is the proper storage?

Seperate from each other?

Seperate from larger and smaller?

Seperate from different types?

Store on metal or not?

I had been collecting them for a couple years and now have a reason to use some

but have never known about the storage issues or non-issues.

All I know is don't get them too hot.  Other than that, those are all good questions.

I remain convinced - wrap them in STRANDED wire.

Ron-

problems that exist in your world cannot be solved by the level of thinking

So you don't know and needed something to do so you sent that reply?

Either you Do Know and don't think you should share it or you DON'T KNOW.

Dude;

 Kinda hard towards Ron.

If you stop and think about it his answer is very much towards the correct.

By wrapping magnets in stranded wire, this keeps the flux moving in a standard N - S & S-N movement and alignment.

Please be kind to those who answer, they do so for free, and with the amount of help Ron has given in the past I think he knows what he talking about.
