10 foot wind generator

Well i finally got around to starting my 10 foot wind generator based on dan's 10 footers. I owe a lot of this to Dan and everyone here. did the basic metal work today it is not quite as pretty as some but with torches and a grinder have got most of it just need to clean up the welds and paint it.










will keep the pictures coming. I think we are going with a guyed latice tower as we dont seem to have room for a tilt up tower plus we are pushing the hight envelope. Also we have a good friend with a 20 some odd ton crain.

I'm sure once it's painted it will be just as pretty as everybody else's!

So, what kind of an alternator are you putting on that thing? 12/9?

yes 12 mags and 9 coils identical to dan's 10 footers hopefully.

nope no paint yet havent got to tinker on it in a few days since the pictures. seems like there is always something else needing doing. plus i dont think i can do much for a tower till spring. gotta dig a few stumps out and what not.plus trying to decide what color to paint it?
