if i might help out.

You could stick a axiel flux gen right under that baby, no need for a belt drive.

Willib,It will matched up with 5hp conversion that im almost done with.Im just testing different adhesives for the mags. And yess an axial flux would probably work.Im just a fan of conversions and want around 10:1 gearing.I think itll handle that.

might try setting your camera-on its lowest setting..

mine has 4 diffrent settings-i use the lowest setting..

your pictures will still come out great..

checked your files--big  pictures --like over 2mbs each..

looks great -but takes awhile to download with a 56k modem..

Make one for us. We have a tower all ready and waiting for something about these dimensions. Must wait for approval, though.

The bracing looks like it can be made to 10 feet in diameter as four rotor arms and the blades need to be 6 feet long and of somewhat different profile shapes.

While you're waiting you could drill for oil.  It's a pity to waste a good derrick.

I will if you put a gen on it.That blade design popped in my head after watching and flying numerous designs. The thick, wide, curved chord on those test blades performed so much better.

Lots of them here in Tehachapi. They are decorative and ornamental, you know. People like them and the garden nursery stores sell them (with the big freewheeling farm windmill rotors on them - removed here). They speak for themselves.

The award limit of the grant being offered that is of interest to us here has recently been increased and so I think we can find a generator that would be suitable, again, some months from now and upon being successful in obtaining one. We are doing both verticals and horizontals projects with this and your setup seems as good as any I have seen for the verticals part. I call them "verticals".

Anthony you can build a axial flux or do a motor conversion for less than 300 bucks.I would hope you dont need grant money for that.I wouldnt depend on the whateveryoucallems to be of help.Guberment,Darn I cant spell that word. Thanks for your reply.

I know it is an older posting but.... Vawtman what diameter is your turbine and does it do a good job of selfstarting with that airfoil? From another post you said it flew at around 5-6 TSR what kind of rpm is that?  It sure looks pretty and I like your tower design. Did you get it setup for the genny in the basement like you where wanting?

"Up here"? Where is "up here"? Without at least a return e-mail address how can we get in touch with someone who can help work on our funding proposal budget line items. No promises are ever made on these things but an H-Rotor with 6 foot long blades on a 10 foot diameter rotor is being planned for sometime later in the year if approvals are forthcoming. The IntegEner-W website at www.integener.com provides more info. Use the "transactions@" e-mail address in replies.

Just to the left edge of your Wisconsin maps you can pick out Pine City, Minnesota on I35 where I used to live on my rural 10 acres with the solar gain pole shed envelope over my 14'x60' done as DIY. I had a Farmall M with a front end loader, necessary to keep the driveway clear in winter, about now.

You are near Green Bay and Appleton, places I have visited. If you view www.integener.com on your PC, whatever it is, you may see the small 8' tall MicroRotators and the rotor kits on the Home Links And Projects page. You may also see the 15' tall wooden tower on the Home page waiting for an H-Rotor arm and bearing on it.

Wind energy is a hard taskmaster, something that will drain every drop of enthusiasm out of anybody's bones. If you send an e-mail be sure to use the "transactions@" address only.

Pretty! I like it when fuction and art can go hand in hand. How good is it for making power?
