Hey-

Jerry,

Just found out from girlfriend,

under the kitchen sink, lives a

"SinkMaster 401"

Un-hooked from plummimg but still

wired to the wall switch.

She thinks it is long dead from switch

being in the ON postion for an unknown

amount of time.

But she did say I could remove it if wanted,

Only catch was to kill all spiders seen or found! LOL!

Have you any experience with this brand?

"SinkMaster 401"

1/3HP Energy Efficient

SS Anti-Jam, Swivel Impellers

P/N  473C405P01

Thanks

:)

Try resetting the breaker in it.  B-)  If it's really fried you can still rewind it.

Resetting the breaker may be a bad Idea.

If it works she may want it connected back up again, and there goes the project down the drain.

Na, I'm safe, she had it un-hooked for lack of want or need!

So I will get it anyway. :)

She's great, she even found me a customer, (if FREE work counts).

One of her brothers saw my minimill and a couple extra's I had

sitting around friday and now wants me to set his shop battery

up for wind recharge.

He's bought some land and has shop set up but, home and power to come later.

Now I'll be able to test in much better winds. Far from town.

If he builds me a few towers. lol.

Thanks

There ya go, that's the "FEE" for doing the free genny work :)

Could make it work to his benifit also to build them, more power for him when your testing gennies on those towers.

Sometimes it is ok to cut corners on somethings, but you must always figure all the angles for everything :)

"FEE"

Thats about the real world fact!!!

Yep,

I'll be doing it anyway so might as well get a bit extra for it.

Hate the thought of leaving any good gear there but will

work something out.

Still waiting for him on a deal we

had for video security out there.

That might be why he wants better battery power,

I did tell him I'd need power for the V/S system!

Someday, this summer-

I'll have one done with a drive-able camera on the tower!

Did a quick test about a month ago on backyard one

and it works pretty good, but was about like watching TV,

from lack of drive it around and nothing to really look at.

But one for girlfriends cabin will have one a least for sure,

defenettly will also have the motion detection there, I'll get

a picture of the bear leaving foot/paw prints around, this time!!!

Don't know if they are any good or not, Wal-mart Super Center in Ohio had a $74 wireless camera about the size of my thumb (maybe a bit larger) and the receiver was about the size of a hard drive as I recall. I think it had audio also. I think it was a solid mount, no tracking.

I'm sure other Wal-marts have them also, probably not around here though.

I was going to pick one up to test here, but I forgot about it. Just as well though I need the money for other stuff anyway now. I thought it might be good for watching the wind gennies if the camera system is actually any good.

Any suggestions on good cheap video, or if you use one of the above how is it?

Years ago I was going to try one of those X10's I got spammed about so much, but never did. I hate spam! Treat is ok though. Oh wrong kind of spam there, sorry :)

I think the amount of spam I got was why I never actually bought their X10 stuff.

HomeDepot

Same thumb size camera, bit under $100

These, 2.4Ghz, 4 channel, audio/Video

Work GREAT!

I've had one for a couple years.

X-10, work OK, but do have, Motion detection,

Drive-able, (robotic), audio/video systems

but, are only 1.2Ghz. still works very good.

Video security-

something I've played with for about 10 years

chit, man the stuff I payed good cash for is now

so darn cheap, (walmart/homedepot unit)

I payed about $69

& I'm kind of IN the industry!

Walmart/Homedepot unit

Wire-less, has built in battery

goes abouit 5-8 hours on a charge

has a pretty good range, (I've never been "To Far away")

Is Color.  (10 years ago color wired was about $400)

But, only works with LIGHT, (Daytime or flood lights)

Wired ones are for your view only

Wireless can be "Hacked" by a few

smart full-O gear types.

Some are Color Daytime/ B&W Night-time

these use infraRED night time

MORE IR LEDS are better, more range of view

daytime unlimited range in color,

night time limited by LED range in Black n White

I've got a few wired ones with 6-8 LEDS Audio-Video

work ok for small area, (Door ways ect)

Have a very long A/V Power cord

(Want to trade one for a few Neo #29 Magnets??????)

OOP'S

Forgot

Any camera can be viewed with

PC, if you have a "Video capture"

pci card.

Or, thru VCR/TV with RCA plugs

Most all have RCA outputs, (camera systems)
