Ford spindle and rotor
« on: March 11, 2006, 05:33:06 AM »

This is a 1996 ford front rotor. as you can see, the hub is part of the rotor. One can cut the hub and flange out of the rotor using a lathe, or porta band saw.

this is the spindle that all the mounting junk cut off of it. this can also be done with a porta band saw, or metal cut of saw.

this is the same spindle that has been machined in a lathe, but could also be ground down close enough to fit into a pipe for welding.I know this seems like alot of work, when one can buy a trailer hub and spindle, but its making use of junk that may just be laying around, and of course I think it is alot more heavy duty.
