Here's some sequence photos. It's a Rohn 55 and as you can see with modified guy wire arrangement from 3 sides to 4 to allow the tilt. 5" sched. 40 pipe @ 52' for the ginpole and all other anchors out 52'. 6" wide web steel I beams set 5' in 2 yards of concrete at each corner for anchors as well as 37 80# bags I mixed and dug by hand for the base (that was dumb). Shackles, turnbuckles and big grips w/ thimbles for the 16 guywires (actually 21 including for the gin pole) sure keeps everything solid. Photos of the hinge, winch and lock down assemblies soon to follow. Thank you for the comments, sounds like we have a climber out there. I'll be keeping my feet on the ground thank you.  Dave B.

WOW-!!!!!!

Now thats a Tower+

That would be a good place to put a

combo

Windmill vane/tail with solar

added to light up enough for

aircraft to see and stay away from!

Very impressive!!

:)

Just another quick comment...

Shortly after putting up my 40ft ...  had an really UGLY surprise...  my 4 year old son... was up about 15 ft.   and going strong.

Don't know if you have little ones about...  but they DO love to climb.. most have no fear...

damn,   come to think of it...   now in a different house...  with a tower.

and new grandkids...  gonna have to pratice what I'm preaching!

Thank you for the tip in regards to climbers, it's well taken and well protected. Still plenty to do but with the weather finally breaking a bit things should move along pretty well now. I'll have more photos and updates as the project progresses. Thanks again for the tip, Dave B.
