Ron-
"real blade mounts"
I working on just that !!!
But, the ceiling fan blades did hold up pretty
good all things considered. The story I posted
back in Jan 06, about the "Real" Wind Mills up
on the hill folding a couple of sets of blades, (180')
didn't fold up the mini mill!
Story was remjoved from board by our moderators
for some only known to them reason.
"When Fred's wind generator throws a blade through Dick's roof, it makes Dick sore. Dick makes sure the city passes an ordinance where there won't be a problem with wind turbines shedding blades because there will be no wind turbines.
Food for thought"
I totaly agree with you !!!
I feel so bad that my Blades lit in somebody elses yard,
Luckly the next door neighbor has been wanting to ask me
about the little mill, his kids love it when it lights up.
As far as a "New Hub Plan" version 2-
I found in homedepot
Conduit couplings with rubber pinch to hold
that with box covers looks like they might make better
blade holders for the PVC and a few others.
Version 1 will still be used but with mods for better strengh.
With a few other "Safty first" mods also.
I did learn a lot from that storm.
Did you get the 70 MPH to 93 MPH winds?
How did yours hold up???
