Sawblade HD HAWT

My first windmill was 250W WAWT, (actually I'we seen only 15W)

Built less than 1 year ago:





You can see also HD HAWT (made from HD magnets and coils) and wind-meter on picture.

First real windmill made from A3 Matrix printer stepper motor. Needs wery low winds to start (1 m/s) because blades are oversized and stepper motor has gearbox. I can get up to 40V and 0,16A from it.

 

Now I am building this sawblade mill, wonder if this thing can reach 200W:

I have idea in mind to use uncommon stator.

But next time about this idea.

double up on the blades by spot welding at the offset tooth area for strength and to prevent the blade from warping. the extra metal will help with flux leakage out the back do to flux saturation of the thin high tempered blade. works for me, pepa.

I hope this helps. I built a gennie from sawblades and it is working fine. If you have to drill any holes in the blades you are going to have a hard time. I didn't double up on them and I am not having a problem.

I have 2 plywood discs to support this sawblade. Yes I have to drill 4 holes to sawblade.

This is my stator idea:

You can see stator made from 2 windings on picture.

I believe 200 windings or 400 is OK.

There is space for second phase also.

hello margus, i am also experimenting with hd magnets and intend to use saw blade at some point. may i make a suggestion , instead of using 1/2magnets verticaly as you have shown in your photo lay them out doubled  to give them a more rectangular shape
