Looks good, maybe slightly small, but then, I run my display at max resolution on my machine (1280 x 800)  Those who run 800 x 600 will probably find it just right.

sence my 800 by 600 picts are outlawed i found some free picture resizing software on a google search.. real retarded but seems to work[well what the hell it was free].

I use "IrfanView"

FREE DL and very easy to use.

Anyway I've read most or all your post's,

I still recommend "GIMP". For some reason it lowers file size ncely and keeps the image size. If ONLY resizing it is similar to using a .458 Win Mag on rabbit but, at least the retorical rabbit seldom walks away.

Very neat fjord (drowned valley) - you got a good tsunami warning network up there? I just read where in the 1964 quake they found one spot the tsunami reached 800 feet above sea level as it was focused by narrowing valley walls! You ever see tidal bores there?


A good key term is "optimize" when thinking file size for web use... Minimize dimension and maximize crop, reduce number of colors & convert to standard color palette, etc...


http://www.jpegwizard.com/ is a free online optimiser if you happen to be at a computer w/o software on it - you submit photo and they email you link to temp web page w/ several versions of your picture to review and save for distribution...
