A Van de Graaff generator uses the skin effect principal. Electricity will always travel on the outside of a conductor.


ungrounded lightning Rod, explains the "rounded" shape that you should try to obtain when running for your life in a open field in a severe lightning storm. The picture explains how the lightning 'might' encapsulate you and 'maybe' spare your internal organs and just give you 'light' sunburn. Joe.

Just an idea can lightning be stored in big capacitor maybe and would be drained slowly.Just an idea.
