After letting the smoke out of used one I ordered a new one

And yes I'll be very carfull with this one. lol

It has a remote switch, (nice extra I think)

a couple sites showed a two warrenty but seller on E-bay

answered that it has a one year?

So I ordered the PE-200 last night

Sorry about huge link but haven't figured out the smaller way yet

Was trying to get a used one from some guys I know

that was a 3500 watt but he's never home when I'm in that town



He only wanted $100.

I told him I'd have to see it but yes I wanted it.

I did find a couple of hits in a site search,

But I quess that the ones who do have this brand

arn't talking about it???

As for the E-bay seller-

They did ship same day PayPal paid,

And after a couple of E-mails asking about

a tracking number, they sent one and the unit is on the way.

I'll be very careful and thoughtful when playing with this one.

And hope to not have to test the warrenty.

at 115 bucks for a 2kwatt it aint bad!

i wouldnt expect it to be more than a chinese made, modified sine wave (or rather modified square wave) unit. but it is priced pretty well i think

The housing looks a lot like the Chinese-made 1000- to 2000-W units that are offered in many truck stops.  I've been tempted, but so far have not bought, so I can't comment on quality.  

My largest inverter is a 700-W unit bought from Fry's in Dallas for $17, and it's Chinese.  Normal price was (I think) about $35, but they run this sort of stuff as loss leaders all the time.  

I tested the unit with 700 W of resistive load shortly after purchase, in case I needed to return it, but all was fine.  Now I use it for running my 300-W blender on camping trips.  I had a 300-W inverter that had trouble starting the motor sometimes, when a full load of ice and mudslide mix would jam up the blender.  The 700-W unit seems to have no problems.

Well,

With a not propper hook-up,

(just from the wall by the woodstove outlet)

{a place I use a lot for easy 12 VDC access

because the stove isn't finished yet, lol}

The wire size is all wrong for any large stuff

to be used there, but just to see if it would even

work, I used it anyway.

And, it works but wouldn't start the big old TV.

But it would run my DVD player, (a 75 watt one runs it), lol.

So maybe after next weekend, (if I get a chance to play with it,

girlfriend has me working pretty hard on the doors, windows and floor trim).

I'll have more to post about this inverter.

The remote switch will turn it on even if the main switch is off,

and has a light to let you know it's on.

The DC Volt level LED Bar works pretty good, but was showing a bit low I

thought, but could be from bad hook-up.
