RE Brush Clearing
A large 2 year project at work had left with all most no time to tinker or take care of the place.
Its finely over the last 10 months I was pulling 10 an 12 hour days 7 days a week. Now I have a lot of catching up to do . One is clearing fence rows of mulberry trees ( Mulberry weed on steroids ) .
I have had gas chain saws for years. But wanted to try some thing a bit more green.
I have seen posts on use an electric chain saw with an inverter.
As I was looking around Home Depot I came a cross this.

.
It's a Black and Decker Alligator. It has a 4 inch bar and can cut up to 6 inch trees.
It opens up like hedge shears . And only pull. 4.5 amps. You can reach right thru a fence with it. And the guards keep things a bit safer . Cuts quick clean and quite

The battery is a 100 amp hour deep cycle and the inverter is a 750 watt Black an Decker I found at garage sale for 30 bucks some time a go , Makes for a nice looking matched set : )

To keep it charged I am using the 45 watt solar kit from Harbor freight.
Works out pretty good I run down long before the battery an I to take a day or two to recharge : )

Here is part of a row I am clearing . And some of the brush all ready cleared to the left.
All and all its working out great I find it a lot handier and safer than a standard chain saw.
For working close to the fence . And I don't miss the noise and fumes.
