Howdy all, First the pictures....



I made eight new parts for the engine today. Front support made of .118 inch aluminum plate. Rear support made of .255 inch aluminum. Side supports made from .125 aluminum plate. One collar made from .200 inch brass plate. one connecting rod made from .250 inch square rod. Two bearing caps made from .125 inch aluminum. The height of the crankshaft is now set and final connecting parts can be made. E.T.A. is Five parts away. Looking forward to run tests.

I was wondering ...how would you pressurize that unit? Any pressure would cause the boot to push outwards...right?

  You would need to put a dome over the top of the machine.   Basically seal the flywheel and workings inside the engine.   The extra pressure would need to be equal inside the displacer and on top of the boot.   Pressurization adds more air to work with and the expansion is much greater thus producing more power.   On Bills engine, depending on the flywheel placement, it might be as simple as another pot sealed to the top.  If your opting for maximum power you may as well vaccum out the air and fill the chamber's with helium, that will make a big jump in power output.

Welding supplier. Used for TIG welding aluminium with DC, as opposed to the normal Argon shielded gas.

Last I heard the helium you get to fill kiddy balloons actually has o2 in it to so if the kids do breathe it they are less likely to be suffocated. Doing the same with the welding supply version you'd need to be more supervised (shouldn't we all be?).
