were taking a risk here today and lowering the mill with a ford[sorry dedicated ford owners],not the usual practice

this mill has been up for awhile.it has a 12' prop,9/12 setup.we are laying her down to put on the new 14' pictured here[this picture can be used with my permission for rodent control]

thats the posi Matt S Matt F and Me from left to right

it makes things easier standing in the back of my 72 chevy.the new prop is heavy estimated 65 pounds

old prop off new one on

notice the tach eye on back of unit.little mill in backgroud just a truckin.

back up she goes

someone suggested this 66 chevy had nothing to do with renawable energy,i have a different opinion.it takes the place of a hand winch for raising and lowering this mill.shortly after adding the new prop we had too redo the tail, longer a little heavier, she furls nice and smooth now at about 20mph.hope you enjoy these pics.i live in southeast ohio, and would like to compare notes someday with the rest of you buckeyes.we have to work at it here to get a good low wind machine.mine cut in at 6mph 65rpm 24volt machine.i think she cuts in to quick, but produces just about everyday, hardly ever stops turning.try to overlook the bad pics i'm learning and will get better at it.this thing doesnt have 18 speeds or an airride seat or it would be no problem.thanks for looking.
