Well, we're back home again (ok,
I'm home again but Rich will have a while to wait).
We achieved almost all of our goals, and that will be it until about September next year. Upon returning home I discovered that my ADSL internet has stopped working, so I'm back on dial-up for the immediate future. Amazing how easily you get to thinking of 56k as painfully slow... ;-)
We saw no guns at all, carried by anyone, the whole time we were there. Rich said that he saw a couple of security guys with pistols under their hawaiian-style shirts while we were at a restaurant once, but they were out of uniform and said restaurant was hosting a meeting of diplomats from Papua New Guinea at the time (yet it was still open to the public).
Photos and a full trip journal to follow, for now I'm busy acting as a tour guide for Rich. ;-)
