Pics Of Shop And Panels
« on: June 30, 2007, 11:09:19 AM »
Sorry it took so long to post the pictures that I promised, I had to buy a digital camera and then learn to use it!

The panel fab shop is close to being complete, I had to install an air conditioner last week to be able to bear this 95+ degree weather. I'll be insulating the shop this weekend.

This is the Testing/Soldering area, this lamp, (right side of photo), combined with a lamp from my laminator acts as a solar simulator for reference testing of cells. I was surprised at the readings that I get.

This is the whole view of my cell stringing area, the counter top was given to me by my Father-In-Law, I love it.

This is the start of a 10 volt panel.

Preparing to laminate the 10 volt panel.

10 Volt Complete.

36 Cells, fresh out of the laminator. Notice the EVA that needs to be cleaned off the front.

These readings are in 98 degree temps.I dont think that green tempered glass is as bad as people think. Well thats all for now! Jeff

Looks pretty awesome! How many amps is the panel pushing? If you get some decent results and could make these cheaper than sommercial panels, you could make yourself a fortune!

These readings were taken at 5:00pm on a very hot 98 degree day.
