hey Warrior,
when the genny slammed the ground, it bent the shaft. she never got to fly
been telling myself lately to press the shaft out and make a new one. maybe put it on ebay and recupe some costs in it. it was a brand new motor.
the winding is stock (230/460 volt 3 phase) with addition of 3 extra leads to make it 1 & 2 circuit star and delta. probably be great for 24 or 48 volt charging. should make a nice 2kw unit.
testing in lathe without load the voltages/rpm/connections as follows
- star 190 rpm 45.58 AC volt
- star 300 rpm 78.5 AC volt
- star 460 rpm 118 AC volt
- delta 190 rpm 24.5-32 volt (was hard to gewt a steady reading)
- delta 300 rpm 45 volt
- delta 460 rpm 68 volt
voltages in 2 star or 2 delta would be half of stated. you can easily see here that this unit can be connected for 12, 24, or 48 volt battery charging.
hope this helps you,
zubbly
