low ampear

i have built 8'hugh piggot turbine


it runs arround 300 rpm& shows voltage above 10V


but the ampear is below 1A


the coils of #14 gauge & 70 turns


how it is possible

What material are the magnets mounted onto ?

Are you measuring the voltage Before or After the Rectifier ?

How big is the Battery ?

How are you measuring the Current ?

i have used 12 V 180Ah battery

the magents are Nd35 1"x2"x0.5"

i have used 2.5 sq.mm wire for output

the wire from turbine to battery is 10 meter

when i short circuit the wires turbine stops immediately

Your magnets should be on metal disk to increase mag flux.  Distance between mags and coils is also important.  Have you tried pairing different coils to max volts/amps, and checked all connections, including rectifier?
