Biggest performance was 9m tower - actually planned 17m.

You can see 9m tower testing 2m and 3m scrap blades. 2m blades from plywood at 10 degree are heavy and spinning slowly. Blades from 160mm PVC tube are much better but weak for 3m diametre mill.

Test stator to find out how many turns I really need:

Wiew from backside. No furling system. It has to be strong enough.

A tail made from microwave case (actually 2 big cases).
Military wintch for future use.

New homemade controller using old computer PS case. Power resistors inside and fan turns on automattically when battery voltage is 14,5V.(blue led turns on)
Green led indicates that windmill is working.

Smaller windmill(working more than 1Year now) has old controller.
1.6m diametre 2blades and wery fast, I've seen 2000 rpm in good winds and sound like airplane. Below 1000 rpm allmost silent.

Wind speed measured by homemade anemometer based on bicycle computer.
