Signed today for 1.3kWp solar PV grid-tie system...
« on: January 26, 2008, 06:31:55 PM »
Following a site survey and confirmation of quote,I have signed with Evo Energy http://www.evoenergy.co.uk/ for a 1.3kWp system for under £7000 excluding VAT (the company can reclaim VAT) based on 6 x 215Wp Sanyo HIT panels and a Sunny Boy SM1100 inverter plus balance of system and install. There may be a very small extra fee to improve our earth bonding.

The install is targeted for late Feb, with payment in April.

The deal here is that because I'm not looking for any government grants, etc, Evo can use me to get an accreditation.

There is of course a slightly increased risk that they'll mess something up, but countering that our system will get a thorough inspection from the accreditation people.

My write-up: http://www.earth.org.uk/towards-a-LZC-office.html

The good news is that I now have a provisional install date of 25th/26th Feb, about a month before I'd initially hoped to have it up and running!

Me and project management normally go together like fish(es) and bicycles, but so far this is succeeding in spite of me I suspect!
