Meter changed over this morning...
« on: February 11, 2008, 10:32:41 AM »
Hi,

The meter was changed over shortly after 8am (the appointment letter said between 8am and 1pm AFAIR, so pretty prompt!) and took about 10 minutes.

A recycled mechanical meter (with a digital readout w00t!!!eleventyone!) of about 80s vintage rather than the 60s museum piece we had before.

Anyway, all done quote quickly and painlessly.

Hi Damon,

Don't complain. I was at my sisters in Switzerland and saw a 1930 vintage meter on an old building. Everyone must be happy!

Not complaining at all: the "retired" meter was about my age though!

I didn't want the DNO to put in a smarter (and more expensive) meter than we needed, which would have been a waste...
