I rewired as an attempt to repair
"Solarex MSX10
Voc(V) 21.1
Isc(A) .62
Pnoct 9.0
Inoct .58
Vnoct 15.5
Pnom 9.8
Pmin 8.0
Isc .63"
This panel has never got up to 12 VDC,
After contacting the E-bay seller and them checking all their panel in this lot, all tags listed as 10 Watts 12 volts but none would get up to 12 VDC so they gave me my money back less shipping and told me to keep this panel.
After looking at it side by side with my
"Solarex SX10M
Pmax= 10.0 W
Voc= 21.0 V
Isc= .650 A
Vpmax=16.8 V
Ipmax=.590 A
At (800 )W.m-2-AM 1.5 Cell,
T = 49` C
Will Produce:
Pmax = 7.10 W
Ipmax= .480 A
All the back tag Info."
I saw that the MSX looked series parallel
while the SX is Series.
After digging the plastic top off the little box I finally got around to digging down to see the wires and yep, wired as series, 18 cells paralleled to the other 18.
So I rewired for series of all 36.
I hope it puts out the power when I test it tomorrow!
This has been a major hold up on my tracking system, I wanted these about matching,(same size and shape), panels side by side with two mirrors "A frame" between them on the pole over pole.
