Looks like you're 'gettin her done'!~ nice, thanks for sharing.  Be fun to hear more detail about some of it if you have the time/are willing, especially the vegi oil setup on your Listeroid.

If I ever figure out what's in the box then maybe I can think outside of it.

Looking at the pics it appears that maybe you have a motor on the lister for electric start via a friction drive?  (the little thing in the back with the arrow that shows direction of rotation.)

yes, that is a 24v motor used to drive a grease pump to auto grease fittings on heavy equiptment [i think]. i converted it to fricton drive [start] the lister. found it in the junk. system is 24v, so it works great to start the lister.

well, after studying the board i bought 3/8" cable, rated at 2880'lbs working load, for the guy wires on the upper most part of the tower.,

i''ll use the 1/4" i bought for the lower guy wires.

the tower is 72' long.

i know some of you suggested i use 5/16"., but when i went to buy the cable, they didnt have enough of that size.

well, i don't think i will have a breakage issue. thats big stuff.

i also went to the local welding supply and ordered a spool 250' of #6 welding cable. they didn't stock anything smaller than #4, so i had to get a hole spool of #6. $1.00 a foot [not to bad]. they wanted $2.00 a foot for #4.

any way i would have a hard time using #4 cause i plan on using the twist loc plug at the base of the tower. three #4's are quite large for the twist loc plug.
