Controlling a windmill with voltage step down counter.

Here are some pictures of our "mppt" control unit.

It is pic controlled control unit measures wind speed and adjust voltage down

To alloy the generator run faster.

Generator voltage is higher, more current in battery bank and no overheating problems.

I can program in witch rpm:s generator takes versus anemometer in different wind speeds and propel gives always the maximum Power.

wellery;

Looks very nice!

Thanks for the share.

Interesting stuff.

OFF topic general comment:

Now, this is the type of post that I would put on the Front Page if it were in another section because someone posted about something they did, and very nicely in this case, but some users don't like their Diary made to display there.

Hi Wellery,

Looks like your tackling the problem head on.

How did you achieve the stepdown (buck converter... what does it look like), and how did you arrive at the control signals for the buck converter.

Excellent project to work on, I would be interested in your best guess figures too....

tom if you make a diary front page it disappears from the diary box at the right of the screen of the everything page so 99% of users will never know it exists that is why diaries are usually not made front page....
