New bulk loader /wood gass stove
« on: January 25, 2009, 03:46:01 PM »
I 've been using electric heat in the shop but I like messing around with wood gas So I put a bulk loader and new fire box on the wood back up and It works well . It goes smokless with a good coal bed .I'm burning off the tar from cast iron sewer pipe I'm going to use for flue .I made up a compressor and filter mech here's a pic of the stove kinda lanky but ai wanted to fit it in  .I'll get the whole thing going and post some video.

Hi, been interested in gasification for a couple years. tecker, I'm not sure I know what I'm looking at? Looked at the video too. You have the barrel loaded where is the gas going?

There's a down pipe that goes from just below the lid on the fire box and now it's heating  the the contents of the drum (leaves some pine and chips It could be core wood or any biomass ) now in heater mode the gas goes down to the fire box and is burned just below th flue  .To get the gas off for other proposes nipple off the lid with 2" and  or pull it off in a number of ways thru a filter of dry leaves and chips and dry ( in line vessel ) and use for water heating or gas engines . I'm working on a compressor to see what volume I can compress .
