Nice pics. It looks as if a lot of those stationary motors are wood gas types.
The strange looking one with the radiator looks like it might be to have hot water as well. Would've loved to have been there to see those.
Some of them may well have been run on wood gas during the war, but so far as I know they were all intended by their makers to be run on petrol (gasoline).
The water-cooled engines would normally have had a fair-sized water reservoir bolted to their tops if they were to be run all day long, I think they get left off for events like this to make them more portable (and only run for a few minutes at a time).
I'm like Rich; with winter still hanging around except for the teaser 70F days, have started the garden seeds just recently. Tomatoes were so good last year using raised beds we're hoping for a repeat this year.
Sounds good. We had a high of 28C here yesterday, but it looks as though the weather is finally starting to cool down - low 20s are forecast for next week.
Hydroponics had to shut down & be completely bleached :-( a gift flower basket brought a whole slew of spider mites and aphids in and infested the whole lot before getting anything under control.
Sounds like you need to establish a quarantine station somewhere outside your front door! ;-)
