We finally found time to finish off the belated service on my duel rotor, some pics and info, original diary here...

The blades were sanded back and coated with two part epoxy resin, I don't know how it will last but time will tell.
I added one extra layer of magnets to each rotor, as I felt the original ones had weakened somewhat, long story.
I gave it good clearance to try and avoid any rubbing this time....

The astute among you will notice something wrong with this pic.
We did a final balance, we use nuts either side to track blades before putting lock nuts on the outside.

The gin pole used on this unit, we attach a small cable to the forward anchor to hold the gin pole upright while removing the winch.

Up and flying the next day, at dawn, good wind has seen it peaking at 1.5Kw in gusts of up to 15 m/s. All three turbines have been averaging a good 60 amps most of the day peaking over 100A but still have not fully topped up the batteries, very little sun, no I will not drop my dacks in front of the solar panels.

The best performance is in the higher winds like 12 m/s when output climbs rapidly.
