Having access to a lot of sawdust (free) I was wondering if anyone has used it for insulation in a floor? I have a 30ft yurt I put up last year & it's all insulated except for the floor (hindsight & finances!!). Has anyone used sawdust for insulation? If so, what needs to be mixed with it so it is a little less fire prone: borax, some other chemical? Any comments would be appreciated.
