Gas inserts into Wood Stove
« on: July 18, 2007, 10:18:47 PM »
I've got some rental property with wood burning stoves, the problem is that most people don't know how to use a wood burner plus the safety issue when burning with wood. I've seen bonfires going with the doors wide open! Looked like the 4th of July out the chimney.

Had an idea of putting some fake gas/LP logs into the wood burner.

What do you think?

Thanks,

Curtis

wait until they fill the stove/oven with gas then stick a match or lighter in.

If you are lucky - and Darwin wins, you only kill the stupid. Of course, best case scenario is kill the stupid with a swinging door and that is the end of it. Other end is loose cabin to explosion, really hurt the person lighting the stove, getting a lawsuit, finding you have no insurance because of your stupid move, loosing, loosing your property and be out on the street.

Propane explosions can be spectacular ... be sure and have a safe place to watch from.

Your call,

Ron
