which air filter is best for a goodman furnace

i have a goodman model A24-10 electric furnace and i have been using the cheap blue fiberglass filters and wanting something better but dont want to get some high MERV rating filter that will slow down my air flow too much and burn up my blower motor .

i'm thinking of maybe a MERV 8 rating ?

any one have any ideas on this ?

also i wonder what the MERV rating of the  cheap blue fiberglass filers are if they even have a MERV rating ?
