Hello, I was wondering if anyone had seen or used this product in conjuction with a wind/solar battery bank?  It looks like it might work pretty good.

Their not very forth comming with specs, personaly I'd recomend a hydronic system. You can use any heat source with it.

In my opinion, unless your heating a very small room or a larger room that is super insulated, using wind generated power for space heating at such a low voltage is not very practical.  The statement "heat your whole house" - with 24V heaters is kind of a nonsense come on.  It might be more practical if you generated higher voltages and strung 24V heaters in series.  For a 24V heater to put out as much heat as a standard 1500 W 120V small space heater it would draw 62.5 amps.  The connecting wire would get costly.

Completely stupid.

For off-grid RE you heat with heat - IE solar thermal.  Run a solar water heater into your hydronics system.

I think I'll take the scooter over and see who & what.

Not the best place in St. Louis, but rent is fairly low so maybe they're there to keep prices low.

The bigBox places are selling warm floor type radiant flooring that goes into the floor, but they use 120Vac and inside the box is where is becomes useable.

I stop in this weekend and see will let you know.

If it is as good as it could be, I would thnk you would need some good sized batts to keep up with the need, but then again if you're home power is out due to storm and this is in and can keep the floor warm from batts and people from freezing? well then it's worth gold.

Just a quick update. I dovre by Sunday. Wish I had gone there Saturday.

They are a true company , I looked insdie the back window and saw that they seem to have a fairly good stock of supplies. Also saw floor plans so they may be at least a real company. I will later this week stop in and see how much information I can get, will also let them know about this forum so they can answer questions for us.
