Don Lobo: Yo tengo... I mean I have a Fisher & Paykel PMG from Australia or New Zeland ( I got it from Nando37 in this board.
Search for Fisher & Paykel in eBay Australia and you will see one for $24.00 as of Friday.
Also you can look at my files here and will see the animal.
According to nando37 it can give close to 500 to a 1,000 watts.
Mine is running at 380 RPM (+/-) and puts out 3 phase AC at 120 volts to go on the line to the house (approx 400 feet) then 3 transformers and a set of 3 bridges gives me the 12 Volts to charge batteries.
It can be configured to any (practically) voltage you want, but better use higher voltage to lower losses until you get the power to the house.
I only get 80 watts because of low flow and low head (21 feet head and 5 liters/second).
There as also a local (US) gentleman that sells the motors here in US. his website is called joesomething, but cannot remember what the something is... (old age).
If you need more help I will research.
My PMG is almost maintenance free, bearing maybe once a year.

I may not be spelling right Paykel.....so try until you get it
