Northern Ireland to lead the way with tidal power

The world's first turbine to create commercial amounts of electricity from tidal energy is to be installed in County Down Northern Ireland UK this summer, it was confirmed today. For the full story see the link below.

I live just a few miles outside Strangford, its good to see that they are getting this tidal project up and running.


Where abouts in Down are you?  Its good to see others from round here doing this sort of stuff.

       I am a couple of miles outside Rathfriland in Ballyroney. Yes it is good news for the area, even the shipyard are getting a turn at it just a pity it has taken so long to happen! but better late than never and we need to blow our trumpet a bit lol
