Hi to all..well this may seem a bit of a stupid question but i can't figure it out..so i will kindly request for some help;))
a water tank full of water. a tube with an object submerged in it. fig 1 - tubular object (exactly fits in the tube - no water pockets). fig 2 ( spherical shapes) water pockets.
i want to know if the pressure exerted on both shapes (yellow) is the same. shape 1 ( rectangular) is the same size as the tube, so there is no water between the shape and tube. shape 2 ( spherical) has water pockets (B) . my question is : will the water pockets (b) create an additional buoyancy force creating a greater uplift force than in fig1.. on both shapes there is equal pressure at point A .
