I bought some 12 volt lights from the sleeper berths of some semi's and cant seem to get them to work. Did i miss getting something that is hidden in the bunk somwhere? The lights seem to contain the circut that it needs to work. Any help would be great.

Do your lights have a specific polarity? Try switching the wires on your battery.
