It seems that all the utility companies are doing there best to go green investing in wind generated power and solar power.I simply pose this question for discussion. G.E. s windmill one mill produces enough electricity for 147 homes and needs close to an acre of land to accomplish this and and a solar field uses about 4 square miles to supply enough electricity for a town population of 30,000 needing thousands of acres of Land to accomplish this knowing that neither of these work well with our current grid so we would need a grid infrastructure change which may or may not take up more land then we currently use for the grid right know.It seems to me just roughly doing the math that there is going to be a large very large transfer of land by eminent domain to the utility companies in the name national security. That We will be making very large targets connected to our grid. doesn't it make more sense to invest in better technology for solar so it can be cheaper to put on every home wouldn't it make more jobs long term compared to building a large solar field and having 20 employees to maintain you get the picture. that's a massive amount of land the utility comp are going to be given.
