Can i have my 15 watt 1 amp solar panel connected to the batteries currently being used

or will it hurt my panel ? (draw to much through it). Or does the panel work like a battery and give only what it has.

Do not know? How can someone have 15 watts, 1 amp panel with out knowing the voltage output.

If my under standing is right 15 volts x 1 amp = 15 watts. never heard of a panel that small what brand is it

please don't quote me on this but I would think you might burn it out.

Yes you can connect a panel to a battery currently being used, and it will not be damaged. I wouldn't recommend running anything directly from the panel due to voltage and current fluctuations.

15watt panel @ 1 amp will be a 12v nominal panel (21VOC) but don't expect 1 amp too often unless you have lots of direct sun. My 18watt panels dont even put out 1 amp at the best of times.

thank you for your answer. I am in Canada and Canadian tire sells this panel. Yes it is

small but I am just playing around. I am a generator tech and get used batteries from

old one`s  switched out for preventative maintenance.
