wiring
« on: September 10, 2007, 02:33:55 PM »
I'd like to do a nice neat job of my growing system of wind and solar generated power. I need some ideas of where to look to find a used and very inexpensive electrical box into which I may insert circuit breakers for wiring in a home.

Home Depot has Circuit Breaker Boxes at great prices.

I'll go and take a look. At Canadain Tire they was about 150.00 for one.

You shouldn't have to pay anywhere near $150 for one.  If you don't want the main breakers you should be able to get a panel with 6-8 capacity for around $50 to $60.  I've got one in the barn that I'm feeding 60 amps to from the house (I could go to 80, but they don't make a Homeline breaker of that size).

If so you may have to go to a local electrical shop.
