Newbie Question
« on: December 09, 2007, 09:44:33 PM »
Will the HF 45v solar panel be sufficient to charge a bank of 6 - 6v batteries?  If so, how would one wire the batteries to power 12v equipment?

Thanks for the help.

The HF panel is not 45 VOLTS it is 45 WATTS. Its voltage output is 17v nominal (12 battery charging).

Wire the 6v batteries in series-parallel to get 12v.

so...

+6v-+6v-

+6v-+6v-

+6v-+6v-
